Roasted broccoli

I am late to this one.

I never warmed to this idea of charred brassicas. Having experienced the smell of burned boiled veggies I am opposed to burnt flavours.

I tried some roasted cauliflower at a respected restaurant and totally hated it. It was bitter, raw and unpleasant.

But I am wrong. I had simple roasted broccoli last week and loved it.

Since I’ve done it at home twice.

Easy as anything. I tried it smoked in the bbq but the best is simple on foil on a baking sheet in the oven at about 220c. For about 20mins

The florets char and the stalks soften.

Dress with garlic evoo and some chopped chillies.
